Universities at Dubai Knowledge Park and Dubai International Academic City are introducing a range of new programmes for the upcoming academic year, including courses in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, wealth management, and game development, to cultivate a future-ready workforce and support Dubai’s vision to be a top 10 city for education by 2033.
The new offerings are aligned with the goals of the Education 33 Strategy (E33) and reflect a collaborative effort to foster an environment for students. Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, SVP of Dubai Knowledge Park and Dubai International Academic City, part of TECOM Group, stated that the “ecosystems address this imperative by uniting globally renowned universities that offer curriculums designed to equip today’s students with tomorrow’s essential skills.”
The institutions are also reaffirming their commitment to making quality education accessible through a variety of scholarships and grants.
These universities are offering scholarships and interesting programmes
- Amity University Dubai: The university is offering up to 50 per cent scholarships and a 30 per cent bursary, with Vice Chancellor Dr Saif Al Seiari noting the university’s commitment to “enhance student outcomes through deeper industry collaboration, research, and applied learning”.
- Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Dubai: Launched new bachelor of technology in computer science and financial technology and bachelor of arts (Honours) in english, psychology, sociology, filmmaking, and mass communication programmes. It offers merit-based scholarships of up to 30 per cent for undergraduate and 10 per cent for postgraduate programmes, as well as sports scholarships.
- University of Birmingham Dubai: Introducing bachelors of engineering in pobotics and AI, along with various master’s courses. The university, ranked 76th in the QS World University Rankings, is offering scholarships of up to 30 per cent for the September 2025 intake.
- University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD): Providing undergraduate scholarships covering up to 50 per cent of tuition fees and a 50 per cent Adam Gilchrist Sports Scholarship. The university’s head of the School of Computer Science, Professor May El Barachi, said Dubai is “a forward-looking, innovation-driven city at the forefront of digital transformation.”
- Murdoch University Dubai: Introducing a bachelor of information technology in games design and development. The university offers merit scholarships of up to 40 per cent for bachelor’s and master’s courses.
- SAE University College Dubai: Expanding its offerings with a bachelor of computer science programme and providing scholarships of up to Dhs50,000. MD Jan Horn said the city’s “booming media sector needs qualified talent, and we look forward to continuing our role as the leading creative media university in the region.”
- SP Jain School of Global Management: Launched a master of applied finance and wealth management programme. Nitish Jain, president of the institution, which celebrated its 20th Dubai campus anniversary, described Dubai as “an incredible destination for students”.
