Marjan, the master developer of freehold properties in Ras Al Khaimah, said on Thursday it has completed infrastructure works at RAK Central, its upcoming mixed-use commercial development, and appointed construction group ALEC as the main contractor for the RAK Central HQ Office Complex.

The 8.37 million square foot gross floor area project spans 3.1 million square feet of land and is positioned as a business hub with commercial, residential, retail and hospitality components.

With basic infrastructure including utilities, roads, cycle tracks, landscaping and green spaces in place, sub-developers are expected to begin activation of individual projects.

The HQ Office Complex is due for completion in the first quarter of 2027.

“With the completion of infrastructure works and onboarding of global contractors, RAK Central has progressed into a new activation phase,” said Abdulla Al Abdouli, CEO of Marjan.

“The involvement of leading developers reinforces our vision to create a world-class hub that brings together business, lifestyle and tourism, enhancing Ras Al Khaimah’s reputation as a compelling destination for international investors and families alike,” he added.

Located on Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem Al Qasimi Street, the site offers views of Al Hamra Golf Club and the Arabian Gulf and has direct access to the E-11 highway. It is being developed as a work-live-play district with Grade A offices, residential units, hotels, retail space and a Town Square.

According to Marjan, RAK Central plots have sold out since the project was announced in January 2024.

The masterplan includes three million square feet of office space, more than 4,000 residential apartments, four hotels with over 1,000 keys, parks, retail and entertainment areas, and over 1,000 visitor parking spaces.

The development supports Ras Al Khaimah’s Vision 2030 strategy, which targets 3.5 million tourists annually by 2030.
